It's been a while since I've gotten back to this thing, but we've been dealing with some "issues" lately.
mainly Roy, but the Batfamily is also incorporating a new member- Batgirl. I really like her but Batman is full out against her. I highly doubt he really will have a say in what she does tho. She's got great form, she seems to be a gymnast of some sort. Robin brought her around a few days ago to meet the Titans and almost all of us warmed up to her right away.
Dick is still getting used to having his permit, but Cyborg has been teaching me how to take care of, make, and take apart engines, and we made a motorcycle from scratch these past few months. We finally got it all together and he (Dick) took me out for a spin on it as soon as we gave him the keys, it ran so smooth! I was so proud of it! :D
And spending time with Cyborg was so nice, I expected him to be really brash and not as nice as he is, he really is just like a gigantic (and I stress gigantic) teddy bear. He's super paranoid that the team will be hurt and he basically helps take care of everyone
on that note of taking care of, I went to see Roy today. I do like Roy.
He's one of the sweetest, most laid back guys I've ever met, and I love him. Love like the kind you show your cousin you only see once in a while, but he means the world to you, so you love hanging out with him when he lets you.
But there wasn't much love today.
I had called him earlier to let him know I would be dropping by, nobody has really heard from him recently, and I had to stop at the Library to pick up some books for a research paper I had to finish. His apartment is really close to the library so I left him a message (oh, he's sort of emancipated, him and Ollie get along well enough but I guess Roy just likes his alone time, not hard to guess why anymore, basically: Ollie pays for the apartment as long as Roy keeps it up and does his duty at night).
The message said that I would be by with lunch around noon so we could talk and go get him some groceries if he was lacking any after lunch. He didn't answer his door when i knocked but I could hear him inside so I found the spare key and came in. When I put lunch and the books I had borrowed on the counter and called out, he still hadn't come into the kitchen/living room.
I found him on the floor in the bathroom with a needle on the floor next to his arm.
I had to call an ambulance right away, he wasn't breathing well at all and now I'm on bedside duty. I never knew, and I'm not sure how long this has been going on. We haven't told Oliver or Dinah just yet, and we've kept him anonymous, Cy and I are bringing him back to the Tower tonight before we push him to tell us about what's going on. Dick doesn't even know. Which is probably a good thing for now.
I suppose we'll see how things work out later on.
Sorry about the long wait on the blog, just been busy I guess. In retrospect blogs aren't quite as important as what we deal with day to day. Bumblebee is back up and running , out of her cast, and Raven has been a bit more moody than usual. Everyone else seems fairly normal. Just running about taking care of this big ol family at this point
